    Submit your design proposal for a chance to create a unique pelican artwork for this year's Pelican Ball. All proceeds directly support the Acadiana Center for the Arts' community programming and Arts in Education initiatives across our eight-parish region.

  • Guidelines + Templates:

    Schedule:

    • Monday, June 1, 2026: Pelicans on Parade submission portal opens
    • Friday, July 10, 2026: Pelicans on Parade submission portal closes at 11:59 PM
    • Friday, July 24, 2026: Artists will be notified if and when their designs are selected
    • Friday, July 31, 2026: Last day for selected artists to pick up Pelican canvas from AcA
    • Wednesday, September 23, 2026: Deadline for artists to return completed pelican to AcA
    • Saturday, November 7, 2026: Pelican Ball at AcA

    Artists are welcome to submit up to 5 designs for 'Pelicans on Parade' each year. To help us keep your work together, please include all of your designs within this single form rather than submitting separate entries.

    The Ghost Pelican is a large pelican auctioned live at each Pelican Ball. If you opt-in, the winning bidder will review your portfolio and may select this design or commission a custom piece inspired by your style. Selected artists receive a $500 fee from AcA, with any additional costs negotiated and paid by the bidder before artwork begins. Selection is not guaranteed.
