  • Teaching Artist sessions may be offered in 3 formats: Single Sessions, Mini-Presentations, or Short-Term Residencies. The choice(s) shown below reflect what is available for your selected artist.*
  • Single Session: Booked as three 45-minute sessions on the same day for 3 dfferent classes, but with the same Teaching Artist. Classes cannot be combined.

    Short Term Residency: 3 sequential sessions led by one Teaching Artist for a single teacher and class. Classes may not be combined.

    Mini-Presentation: One 45-minute presentation by a Teaching Artist for 3 combined classes (counts as 3 of your school's allotted sessions - only performing arts).

  • Reminders:

    • Notify the school office so they are prepared to direct the Teaching Artist to the predetermined session location.
    • Prepare your students for an art session of approximately 45 minutes.
    • Participate in the session as you would expect your students to participate. Sessions are designed to be an active teaching experience between teacher and artist.
    • The teacher is never to leave the room.
    • Teaching Artists prepare materials and lessons for a maximum of 3 classes per day. Combining classes (for Single Sessions or Short Term Residencies) can limit their ability to teach effectively due to supply constraints and necessary adjustments for larger groups. For this reason, if classes are combined for anything other than a Mini-Presentation, the Teaching Artist reserves the right to cancel the day’s sessions upon arrival. We appreciate your respect for their time, preparation, and resources!
